Saint Mary Academy Admissions Steps
1. Schedule a Visit
We would love to give you a tour of our campus and share more about our school's programs and values. Shadow experiences are also available if you are interested in your student experiencing a typical day as a Saint Mary Academy Monarch. We will pair your child with a student in his/her current grade and treat them to lunch!
2. Online Application
After your visit, complete the Online Application at the top of this page. The application will be complete once the application and all necessary paperwork, along with application fee, are submitted. Once the complete application is submitted, we will reach out to you regarding next steps. Please note that submission of online documents does not guarantee admission to Saint Mary Academy.3. Admissions Assessment
After a review of the complete application, we will schedule the admissions assessment for all JK-8th grade students. The assessment includes a reading and math screening along with an evaluation of language capability, the ability to follow directions and complete tasks, and conceptual skills.4. Application Review
The admissions team will thoroughly review the complete application and admissions testing results. The family will be notified of (1) Acceptance (2) Waitlist (3) Non-acceptance.Tuition Assistance
If you have a financial need, please give us the opportunity to work with you to explore all options. For this current school year, the Catholic Education Foundation and Saint Mary Academy awarded our school families over $81,000 in tuition assistance. To apply for financial aid through CEF, complete the application at http://www.ceflou.org.Order of Priority in Admission
At the time of pre-registration in January, Saint Mary Academy will use the following order of priority for admission to the school. Once a grade level is full, all remaining pre-registered students will be placed on a waiting list and will be admitted as openings become available. The order of priority in admission is as follows:
- Children currently enrolled at Saint Mary Academy (Preschool-Grade Eight) and their siblings;
- Catholic families who are members of Saint Bernadette parish
- Catholic families who are members of any other Catholic parish
- Families who are not Catholic or not members of a parish
